12 mil wear layers - the sensible choice for a normal household.

Not every floor needs a commercial wear layer. Twelve mil is the standard residential rating and it is perfectly sound in a bedroom, a guest suite, a condo with two adults in it or anywhere the traffic is ordinary. The look is identical to the heavier grades - same printing, same waterproof core - so the money you save here is money that stays in the budget for somewhere it shows.
